About the Role:
We are seeking an experiencedChild PsychiatristorCommunity Paediatricianto join our team on an associate basis. This flexible role is ideal for a clinician who shares our values, is passionate about neurodevelopmental work (particularly Autism and ADHD), and is interested in supporting children and young people with complex needs, including those who are care-experienced.
You will contribute specialist clinical input as part of multidisciplinary assessments, with opportunities for prescribing, consultation, and collaborative formulation.
This is a flexible associate opportunity with remote and in-person components (based around Sutton Coldfield), shaped around your capacity and interests.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide specialist clinical input into multidisciplinary neurodevelopmental assessments
* Offer clinical opinions and consultation around neurodevelopmental presentations
* Conduct medication reviews or prescribing (particularly ADHD) where appropriate
* Contribute to case formulation, outcome reports, and recommendations
* Work in partnership with psychologists, therapists, and educational staff
* Attend (virtually or in person) team discussions, clinical planning meetings, and reflective practice
* Uphold the highest standards of ethical and clinical care
* Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in line with GMC and service policy
* Full GMC registration and licence to practise
* Recognised training and experience in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry or Community Paediatrics
* Prescribing rights and confidence in managing ADHD medication (initiation and review)
* Experience working with children and young people with neurodevelopmental conditions
* Commitment to neurodiversity-affirming and formulation-led approaches
* Ability to work independently while contributing to a wider team
* Right to work in the UK (Please note we are not currently able to offer visa sponsorship)
* Experience contributing to diagnostic assessments for Autism and ADHD
* Understanding of the SEN and EHCP landscape, particularly for children in care
* Interest or experience in working withcare-experienced children and young people
* Interest in reflective practice, clinical consultation, or training delivery
* Previous experience in independent or hybrid services
* A warm, curious approach to multidisciplinary teamwork
