We have an exciting opportunity for an Attendance Officer to join a supportive and motivated team. You will play a key role in the ongoing health and welfare of students and support whole-school attendance strategies to improve attendance across the academy.
Hours: 37 hours per week (08:00–16:00 Monday to Thursday and 08:00–15:30 Friday) term time only plus 10 additional days.

Key Responsibilities
* Monitor daily attendance records and identify students with irregular attendance or persistent absence
* Analyse attendance data to identify trends, patterns and at‑risk student groups
* Generate regular reports for the School leadership and other relevant staff
* Make daily phone calls or send text messages to parents/carers to verify the reason for student absence
* Undertake home visits to address concerns regarding student absence
* Undertake ‘late gate’ on a morning to monitor late arrivals and identify appropriate interventions
* Be fully aware of and comply with child protection and safeguarding procedures. Identify and report any concerns to the School Designated Safeguarding Lead
* Ensure the school's attendance policies and procedures are followed
Home visits are required for this job role, so you will require a current UK driving licence and use of your own vehicle.
