My client is looking for an assistant editor to join the team that produces its suite of RadCom publications and manages its news desk.
The successful candidate will be involved in magazine production, sub-editing, writing articles, and planning content. You will be a core part of the editorial team, working closely with (and being managed by) the RadCom Managing Editor.

What will you be doing in the role?
Reporting to the Managing Editor, you will:
* Commission articles and liaise with authors
* Sub-edit contributions from writers and columnists
* Assist in guiding the content of RadCom Basics and RadCom Plus supplements
* Participate in assembling a weekly news script
* Respond to queries on technical and amateur radio licensing
* Develop the RadCom portfolio, including exploring new media opportunities
What we would like from you:
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
* Experience with Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop (desirable)
* Positive attitude, enthusiasm for technology, excellent command of English
* Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
* Knowledge of radio and electronics, including amateur radio (desirable)
