This is a fantastic opportunity to join my client, a highly:respected, innovative Multidisciplinary Consultancy broadening their geographical reach by establishing a brand new office location in Scotland. Renowned for lending their expertise to an array of high:profile projects across the landscape architecture, planning, and civil engineering fields, they are actively seeking a talented, experienced Senior Civil Engineer with extensive knowledge of infrastructure design who is willing to take on a diverse array of challenging projects. You will be working with a newly:established team of infrastructure design professionals, based in the beautiful, culturally:rich Scottish Capital City of Edinburgh.

Responsibilities for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:
* Contributing to the design of a range of projects and developments
* Overseeing the day:to:day running of engineering projects, from initial inception through to successful delivery
* Mentoring and supporting colleagues in their development within the company
* Liaising with clients and other stakeholders across the public and private sectors
* Preparing and checking reports, specifications, drawings, calculations, risk assessments, method statements, and other such technical documents
* Adhering to company policies, procedures, and best practice, upholding the appropriate health and safety standards at all times
* Acting as a company representative at client meetings, site visits, etc.
Required skills and experience for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:
* A Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering
* Hold Chartered Status with a relevant, recognised professional body
* Experience of working in a design:based role, within a UK consultancy or Local Authority
* Considerable experience of working on infrastructure (highways and drainage), housing developments, and energy engineering projects
* Experience of earthworks and drainage network modelling
* Proficient in the use of various software packages (to include Civils 3D, MicroDrainage, AutoCAD, and others)
* Considerable experience of writing and checking a variety of technical documents
* Demonstrable experience of client and stakeholder liaison
* Excellent organisation, time management, team leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Desirable skills and experience for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:
* A Masters Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering
* Experience of authoring Flood Risk Assessments
* Experience of preparing Transport Assessments
* Experience of leading projects/teams
* Experience of working in a public:facing role
* Hold a full, valid UK driving licence
