We now have an opportunity for a Finance Operations Analyst to join us in Edinburgh on a 12 month fixed term contract. In this role, you’ll support the day-to-day delivery of BAU Finance Operations, ensuring high-quality service aligned to standards and deadlines. Key responsibilities include: Preparing and reviewing journals, accruals, prepayments, and trial balance accounts. Performing daily bank and balance sheet reconciliations. Conducting analytical reviews across entities to validate balances, movements, and trends. Resolving complex transactions and reconciliation breaks. Representing Finance Operations in local and corporate initiatives, ensuring risks, controls, and accounting impacts are captured. Leading end-to-end process reviews to drive efficiency, strengthen controls, and reduce risk. We’d love to hear from you if you have: Experience in financial services, including general ledger and technical accounting. Strong understanding of accounting frameworks and ability to articulate technical concepts. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail. Familiarity with continuous improvement tools and implementation. Experience with banking processes and systems. Proactive team player with strong collaboration and leadership skills. Proficient in Excel, including VBA. Strong time management and organisational skills; able to work independently. What’s in it for you?
