Nursery Nurse, Early Years Practitioner
Description
* We require qualified and experienced minimum level 3 or equivalent will be considered. Full Time or 4 days per week. Need to have worked with the EYFS curriculum, in a childcare or school setting.
* We provide care and development for children from 12 weeks old to 5 years, in a safe, stimulating & enabling environment.
About the role:
* To assist the Room Leader/Nursery Manager in leading a team of nursery workers who will maintain the smooth day to day running of Immanuel's Day Nursery.
* Be committed to working professionally, and responsibly, as an individual and as a member of a team.
Duties:
* Supervising children during meal times, feeding children where applicable, toilet training, changing nappies, comforting children if distressed and to encourage children to rest when necessary.
* Ensuring children are kept clean at all times, children's noses wiped, clean faces, hands and clothes.
* To ensure routines, activities, assessments and observations are completed daily.
* To follow all childcare and health and safety policies and procedures promoting personal hygiene with all age groups.
* To participate in ensuring the base room is kept clean and tidy at all times.
Skills and experience:
* Have NVQ 3 or above
* Have post qualifying experience with children ages 0-5 years old
* Have organisational skills
* Good communication skills
* Have good teamwork
* Be reliable
* Be responsible
* Have commitment
* Be friendly
* Caring
* Have high work standards
* Be physically fit e.g. able to lift and bend down
* Have a solid knowledge of the EYFS
* Have an up-to-date Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding and Food Hygiene
* Need a clear and valid DBS – oversee applicants will need a clear and valid certificate of good conduct
* Be flexible with start and finishing times
* Be a team-player who is enthusiastic
