Howbury House is a 32‑bed residential home for people who need care and support and are living with dementia. It is registered with the Care Quality Commission. We are increasing our staffing levels on a permanent basis and have various jobs available.
Ranging from 20 to 26.75 hours per week. The shift pattern consists of 07.30‑15:30, 15.30‑22:00, 08:00‑21:00 and some shorter shifts of 08:00‑13:00, 17:00‑21:00 – mainly for the lesser‑hour posts. All vacancies include alternate weekends and bank holiday working.
The successful applicants must have the ability to listen and communicate orally and in writing, to work as part of a team but also be able to work on own initiative, to be caring, compassionate and motivated, to understand the rights and needs of older people, and to treat people with dignity and respect as individuals.
Enthusiastic, caring people who are motivated to enhance the lives of residents. Good communication skills, both oral and written, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are required.
