Job objectives and responsibilities
1. Guaranteed hours a month provided availability is given, refusal on available days result in no payment of Guaranteed hours
2. Willing to travel within a 30 miles radius
3. Must be flexible to work days and nights, weekends and bank holidays
4. Combination of 8 – 12 hours shifts dependant on the site requirement
5. Must be available for 5 days out of 7 every week including weekends, 1 guaranteed weekend off every 5 weeks
Main duties
6. Ensure all incidents are logged and directed effectively through to completion
7. Effectively communicate business issues to the Operations Manager and/or relevant departments
8. Maintain the standards of the site for access / egress and visitor regulation
9. Ensure standards of dress, safety and presentation are maintained at all times
10. Complete timely and accurate reports on all security activities within the site and present to the Security Management team.
11. To be fully conversant with the methods of working of all equipment.
12. Ensure that you have signed the Assignment Instructions.
13. Ensure that complete and updated Assignment Instructions are being followed. Where site or procedure instructions are not being followed, ensure that corrective actions are raised with the Operations Manager
14. Ensure that all contractual requirements are properly fulfilled and if there is an issue or concern inform the Manager
15. Handle all day to day enquiries which arise from whatever source in respect of the daily operation of the security of the site and report to the Manager
16. Any other reasonable request from management or client.
17. To have an awareness of key performance indicators and service level agreements
18. Site Open and Lock Down procedure
19. Completion and checking of all accident and Health and Safety reports
Person Specification
20. Excellent analytical skills to critically evaluate the information gathered and prioritise activity and ongoing communication
21. Valid SIA (Security Industry Authority) licence
22. British Passport holder for SC clearance
23. Full 5-year checkable history
24. Good understanding of security requirements / functions
25. Excellent oral communicator
26. Strong written skills for reports, incidents and presentations
27. Excellent interpersonal skills, to liaise with security officers, managers and directors
28. Have the ability to solve problems and make decisions.
29. To share knowledge and support team members, to make the best use of their capabilities.
Health and Safety responsibilities
· Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times;
· Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment;
· Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received;
· Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system;
Information Security
· Ensure compliance with Mitie's and Clients information security procedures in all activities;
· Proactively identify and report security risks to your manager;
· Report actual and suspected security incidents;
