THE TEAM
Our Finance and Procurement teams are detail-focused problem-solvers who manage billions worth of assets and help keep easyJet on track for continued growth. Within the wider Group Financial Control team, the Flight Operations Accounting & Controls team plays a key role in supporting the accounting, reporting and control environment for Flight Operations costs.

THE ROLE
As Assistant Accountant, you’ll support the Flight Operations Accounting & Controls team by helping to deliver accurate financial reporting, strong controls and valuable insight for stakeholders across the business.
A key focus of the role will be checking, analysing and processing invoices through the SkyMetrix system, investigating variances and supporting month-end accounting activities.
You’ll also work closely with Procurement, suppliers and finance colleagues to improve processes, reclaim costs and support operational and financial decision-making.
Key responsibilities include:
·Checking, analysing and processing invoices, liaising with internal and external stakeholders where required
·Investigating variances between invoices and accruals
·Ensuring postings adhere to accounting standards and internal controls
·Supporting process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
·Building effective cross-functional relationships across the business
