The Digital Content Specialist is creative and results-driven to elevate Sun East's brand across digital channels. This role blends content strategy and execution across social media, email, blog, and web - helping to drive engagement, build member trust, and increase awareness of Sun East's products and community involvement. The Digital Content Specialist plays a key role in supporting omnichannel marketing campaigns, ensuring a consistent and compelling voice across all touchpoints. JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES

Content Creation & Storytelling

* Write compelling copy for social posts, blog articles, email campaigns, and website updates that align with Sun East's voice and objectives.
* Create multimedia content (graphics, short videos, Reels) to enhance member engagement.
* Highlight member success stories, employee spotlights, and community involvement through authentic, branded storytelling.
* Attend events to capture photos and video content for digital storytelling across platforms.
* Repurpose content across multiple platforms to extend reach and maximize value.


Email & Website Content

* Write member-facing emails that drive awareness and engagement with Sun East products, services, and initiatives.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure email content aligns with broader omnichannel campaigns.
* Maintain, update, and optimize website content for clarity, SEO performance, and product accuracy.
* Contribute to our website by writing articles on financial education, upcoming events, and timely member resources.


Social Media Management & Strategy

* Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
* Plan, create, and schedule engaging content that reflects Sun East's mission, brand values, and marketing goals.
* Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and platform algorithm changes to inform strategy.
* Engage with followers by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely, brand-appropriate manner.


Collaboration & Campaign Support

* Participate in brainstorming sessions for marketing campaigns, offering digital-first content strategies and creative input.
* Coordinate with product teams, member services, and other departments to ensure content is accurate, relevant, and aligned with member needs.
* Support the execution of omnichannel marketing campaigns by ensuring consistent messaging and branding across digital platforms.
* Ensure all content adheres to financial industry regulations, compliance requirements, and Sun East brand standards.


TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT EXPECTATIONS

* Takes training required for the position.
* Seeks additional training in areas outside of the job requirements.
* Participates in community involvement activities and special events that may occur outside of normal business hours.
* Understand and complies with all state and federal regulations and laws. Ensures compliance with all governing regulations, especially the Bank Secrecy Act requirements. Bank Secrecy Act knowledge will be determined by the employee's position and responsibility.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to perform work of a very physical nature including the ability to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift and otherwise move objects up to 50 pounds. Additionally, must be able to sit for extended periods of time, when necessary. Requires manual dexterity and visual ability (focusing on accuracy and thoroughness of visual material) to work at a computer terminal, utilize keyboard, telephone and other standard office equipment. Must be able to deliver and receive verbal communication. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle.


SKILLS AND/OR QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelor's or Associate degree, or equivalent experience, in Marketing, PR or Communications.
* A minimum of 3 years proven experience in digital content creation, social media management, and email marketing.
* Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills across platforms.
* Proficiency with digital content creation and design tools (e.g., Canva and Adobe Creative Suite).
* Proven experience with SEO best practices, including keyword research, on-page optimization, and link-building strategies to improve organic search rankings.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Financial industry experience is a plus
* HubSpot experience is a plus
* A valid driver's license is required

NOTE: This position occasionally requires attendance at events that take place in the evening and on weekends.
