About the role
We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. As a Customer Service Assistant, you will work in a fast-paced retail environment where no day is the same.
You will play an important role in the day-to-day operations of our store by providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and helping maintain the store’s appearance.
Since the customer is at the heart of everything we do, you will constantly look for ways to improve service through on-the-job coaching and feedback, ensuring a safe environment for all.
You will be Responsible For:
* Serving customers with passion and pride, delivering natural service.
* Encouraging customer feedback through surveys.
* Working across all store areas including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines.
* Practicing safety based on training received.
* Participating in seasonal, community, and charity events to create an inclusive atmosphere.
* Understanding store performance and your role in delivering profit.
* Living our values, making everyone feel welcome, and following policies.
* Clocking in and out accurately for proper payment.
* Following security procedures and wearing safety equipment.
* Following the 'think 25' policy when serving age-restricted products.
* Responding promptly to assistance calls or interventions at self-service checkouts.
* Keeping the store clean, tidy, and organized.
* Potentially running shifts in absence of managers.
* Following all safety and legal training.
If the store has a Post Office Local, duties include managing daily operations and passing necessary background checks. Failure to pass these checks will result in withdrawal of the job offer.
