I am currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a skilled Maintenance Engineering Technician to join their fast-paced food manufacturing.
The role as a Maintenance Engineer:
* Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults quickly and effectively
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime
* Support Production teams to optimise line efficiency and process setup
* Assist with installation and commissioning of new plant and equipment
* Maintain accurate maintenance records and shift handovers
* Through structured continuous improvement devise initiatives to increase efficiencies and reduce costs and implement engineering projects
* Work with department manager to maintain spare part control
* Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards

The successful Engineering Technician will have:
Essential:
* Minimum 3 years engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
* NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Multi-Skilled Engineering
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
* Ability to work under pressure and manage workload effectively
* High attention to detail
Desirable:
* Experience within food manufacturing or FMCG
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Certificate
