This KS1 Teacher role in Slough begins January 2026, with a full induction and handover arranged before January 2026. As KS1 Teacher, you will establish effective routines, deliver phonics and early writing lessons, run small-group interventions and build positive relationships with families across Slough. The KS1 Teacher will assess pupils frequently and plan next steps that secure rapid progress.
Role responsibilities
* Deliver daily phonics, guided reading and progressive KS1 lessons.
* Assess pupils regularly and plan targeted interventions.
* Prepare engaging classroom and outdoor learning environments.
* Collaborate with teaching assistants to scaffold learning effectively.
* Maintain learning journals and communicate progress clearly to parents.
Person specification
* Qualified teacher with EYFS/KS1 experience and strong phonics practice.
* Creative, organised and confident in early assessment.
* Available to start January 2026 and attend induction beforehand.
