Mitie Landscapes has an exciting opportunity for a Chargehand to join our team at the UKs market leading FM company. Reporting to the Line Manager, you will be delivering Grounds Maintenance and Winter Services and ensuring you deliver the exceptional every day.
You will be responsible for.
1. Maintaining our clients' sites. Grass cutting, hedge cutting, border maintenance, leaf clearance, and spraying.
2. Delivering our winter services, including gritting and snow clearance.
3. Providing management with relevant information and reporting as required, including reporting any site hazards.
4. Operating all vehicles, machinery and equipment in accordance with Health & Safety procedures.
5. Undertaking training as and when required.
6. Use our smart phone based operating system to report work activity.
7. Responding quickly to requests for additional support
8. Working strictly in accordance with Health and Safety instructions
9. Complete Training and Tool box talks with operatives.
10. Complete vehicle inspections and audits
11. work with the team to manage and complete work on the WIP
12. Willing to work in various weather conditions
13. Access active areas for work
14. Work on various areas of the contract
15. Motivate the teams and ensure work is delivered to the highest standard possible
16. Assist with chemical inventories and chemical logs
17. Complete any training deemed relevant to the role
18. Ensure all operatives are working safely with adequate PPE
19. Assist with documentation and supervision of the operatives on site
20. Work with innovation and technology to drive improvements and efficiencies
21. Attend meetings as and when requested.
22. Stand in for Supervisors as and when required.
23. In addition to the duties and responsibilities outlined you may be required to perform other duties assigned and requested by your line manager
What we are looking for
Essential
24. A passion for working outdoors.
25. Prepared to work in an agile and flexible working environment (Winter working).
26. A good understanding of smartphone technology. Full driving licence
27. Full Manual UK driving licence
28. PA1 & PA6 spraying licence,
29. Grounds Maintenance and Gritting experience
