 
        The Teenage Cancer Trust TYA Clinical Nurse Specialist will be expected to demonstrate a high level of practice in both their direct care of patients and in their ability to plan and develop services to support cancer care. Through the key skills of leadership, innovation, and clinical expertise they will facilitate and deliver holistic care that is patient centred and delivered with compassion, as well as being safe and effective. For further information on this role, please see the attached detailed Job Description and Person Specification: To assist in the provision of professional and clinical leadership and expertise in the care of the patients under your care, acting as a resource and consultant to provide information and support to patients, carers and staff. To develop or contribute to the formulation of policies. To develop or contribute to the formulation of patient information. To liaise effectively with all members of the multi-disciplinary health care team to help achieve a synchronised specialist service. To provide informal and formal teaching, for patients, staff and carers as relevant e.g. academic courses provided by The Royal Marsden School. To work alongside the TYA lead nurse to continue to help develop TYA service provision at The Royal Marsden in Chelsea to create enhanced equity of service to that received by TYAs at the Sutton site. To help support nurse-led clinics including the TYA MDT clinic and transition clinic where appropriate. To prepare, participate, and contribute to the weekly TYA MDT meeting, working closely alongside the TYA MDT Coordinator.
