Role Description
This is a part-time hybrid role for a Financial Crime / Transaction Monitoring Analyst based in or around Royal Tunbridge Wells, with the flexibility to work remotely most of the time. The role involves monitoring and analysing transactions to identify potential financial crimes, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory obligations. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting due diligence checks, preparing financial reports, analysing financial data, and assisting with fraud detection and prevention strategies. The analyst will collaborate with teams to enhance overall compliance processes and mitigate financial risks.
Qualifications
* Strong Analytical Skills and ability to interpret financial data and transaction patterns
* Experience in creating Management Information (MI)
* Effective Communication skills for coordination across teams and reporting
* Knowledge of financial crime prevention strategies is a plus
* Proficiency in relevant tools and technologies that aid in financial data analysis
* Attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
* Familiarity with FCA compliance or similar regulatory frameworks is advantageous
* Background or experience in a regulated financial services environment is preferred
Skills & Experience Required
Essential:
* Experience in Transaction Monitoring, AML, Financial Crime, or Compliance
* Experience reviewing transaction alerts or conducting AML investigations
* Understanding of AML and financial crime risks
* Strong analytical and investigative skills
* Good attention to detail
* Ability to work independently
Desirable:
* Experience in payments, fintech, banking, EMI, or FX/CFD sector
* Experience using transaction monitoring systems
* Experience with sanctions or PEP screening alerts
Working Arrangement
* Part-time role
* Morning hours (7:00am – 12:00pm)
