Overview
Explore Worldwide is an adventure travel expert focused on sustainable, small group holidays which create stories to tell for a lifetime. From classic group tours and family adventures, to walking, wildlife and cycling trips, with around 100 countries to choose from, our customers explore the world with us. We put people at the heart of everything we do and are proud of the extensive benefits we offer. This role is based in Farnborough, Hampshire with 2 days per week in the office. This is a full-time position; flexible working patterns (minimum 4 days per week) can be discussed. Salary: £25,000 - £27,000 + bonus.
Purpose: This role is crucial in giving our customers a seamless holiday experience, ensuring that hotels and services are booked correctly.
Responsibilities
* Maintain our database of tours, ensuring that all hotels, services and costs are 100% accurate.
* Input and amend costs, set up new tour dates and manage hotel allocations in our system.
* Review and resolve invoice discrepancies.
* Answer trip-related questions from other departments.
* Support the product team with using technology systems to improve and maximise efficiency.
* Make process improvements and suggest the most relevant tool or system for the task.
* Support the team with adopting new ways of working.
* Introduce innovative ways of working with technology tools and find solutions to problems.
* Process administration and respond to product related enquiries.
* Serve as a pivotal point of communication with Product Managers, overseas suppliers, Customer Experience and Sales Consultants (UK, Canada, Australia), and our Outsource Team (India).
* Shift priorities at short notice to support urgent issues.
* Maintain tours in the booking system, including hotel changes, supplier costs, and setting up new departure dates.
* Maintain regular contact with overseas suppliers to support operational questions about rooming lists, invoices, service changes or booking numbers.
* Receive new rates from overseas suppliers and enter data into the system, ensuring accuracy.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Skills and knowledge of a wide range of technology tools/programs/systems.
* Ability to suggest the most efficient way of completing a task using technology.
* Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
* Excellent skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; knowledge of other Microsoft programs and IT systems (data visualization tools and databases) is desirable.
* Interest in travel and sustainability.
* Strong administrative skills and the ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Willing to learn on the job and build great relationships with colleagues and suppliers.
* Able to embrace and celebrate diversity.
