Are you a passionate Occupational Therapist looking for a new and exciting challenge to develop your skills within an inpatient mental health care setting? As part of a development in service provision fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our well-established team at Airedale Centre for Mental Health. The opportunity is based on Fern Ward.
As a senior occupational therapist, you will complete comprehensive assessments of functional ability, deliver individualised treatment plans and support recovery and transition from hospital to home. You will work collaboratively with the wider MDT both on the ward and in the community. In addition you will be responsible for the support and development of the occupational therapy and activity team at the unit. We are seeking an innovative practitioner, able to drive service development, manage a complex caseload, and support the leadership within the occupational therapy and activity team on Fern Ward.
Responsibilities
* Complete comprehensive assessments of functional ability.
* Deliver individualised treatment plans and support recovery and transition from hospital to home.
* Work collaboratively with the wider MDT on the ward and in the community.
* Support and develop the occupational therapy and activity team at Fern Ward.
* Drive service development, manage a complex caseload and support leadership within the OT and activity team.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Band 6 Occupational Therapist with experience in inpatient mental health care (preferred).
* Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
* Innovative practitioner with capacity to develop services and manage complex caseloads.
