Overview Cardiac Physiologist (Bank) The Meriden Hospital Bank Shifts Salary: Up to £65.00 per hour (depending on level of experience, training and qualification) The Meriden Hospital in Coventry is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country. We have an opportunity for a Cardiac Physiologist to join their team of staff in the Cardiology department. This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence. Duties Of This Role Include Perform and interpret a wide range of non-invasive cardiac investigations including resting ECGs, Holter monitoring, event recorders, and blood pressure monitoring. Carry out and report on exercise tolerance tests (ETTs), tilt table testing, and other functional assessments. Undertake and interpret echocardiograms (transthoracic, transoesophageal, and stress echo, if appropriately trained). Assist in cardiac catheterisation procedures, including angiograms, angioplasties, and right heart studies. Monitor and record intra-cardiac pressures and waveforms during diagnostic and interventional procedures. Provide technical support during pacemaker, ICD, and CRT implantations. Applicants Should Meet The Following Criteria Current knowledge of a range of clinical specialties and developments in clinical practice. Experience of customer care, including interacting with customers in challenging situations. A degree in Clinical physiology or equivalent / ONC / BTEC in physiological measurement and medical physics. Device qualification.
