Administrator with Welfare Responsibilities

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Brent, London

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Brent is seeking a dedicated and highly organised Administrator with Welfare Responsibilities to join their friendly and supportive team as soon as possible.

The Role

This is a key position within the school office, combining administrative duties with an important focus on pupil welfare and safeguarding. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for many families and professionals, playing a vital role in supporting the smooth running of the school and the wellbeing of its pupils.


Key Responsibilities

* Managing day‑to‑day administrative tasks within the school office
* Maintaining accurate pupil records and data using SIMS
* Supporting safeguarding processes and record‑keeping using CPOMS
* Acting as a point of contact for parents, carers, and external agencies
* Assisting with attendance monitoring and welfare follow‑ups
* Supporting the wider leadership team with administrative and welfare‑related tasks


The Ideal Candidate Will Have

* Proven experience working in a school administrative role
* Strong working knowledge of SIMS
* Experience using CPOMS for safeguarding and welfare recording
* A clear understanding of safeguarding procedures and confidentiality
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* The ability to remain calm, organised, and professional in a busy environment
* A genuine commitment to supporting children’s wellbeing and development
