About The Role
Please note that this is a full-time role working DAY shifts, 42 hours per week, from 8am to 8pm.
As a Senior Care Assistant at Thorn Springs, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It influences every aspect of our care. Everyone who works here understands that our residents are individuals with their own stories. Joining us offers a wonderful opportunity to give back to these individuals.
For you, this means planning and implementing care that provides our residents with security, dignity, and independence. You will get to know residents and their families, helping to deliver personalized care plans. Leading a team of Care Assistants, you will maintain high standards of care and influence your team positively. Whether demonstrating how to use a walking frame, assisting at mealtimes, or communicating with families, your approach will be rooted in kindness. You will also facilitate social and recreational activities, administer medication, and ensure comprehensive physical and mental stimulation for residents.
One of your key responsibilities is to maintain accurate records and foster strong team relationships.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. It is essential that you can recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect, and know the appropriate steps to take if concerns arise. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training relevant to their roles and undertake additional training as needed. You should be able to seek advice and report concerns, escalating issues when necessary.
