Job Title: Bodyshop Vehicle Painter
Location: Westcliff-on-Sea
Salary: Up to £50,000 (depending on experience) + other excellent benefits listed below.
Full-time, permanent position: Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 6:00pm.

They are now actively looking to recruit a highly experienced, professional, Bodyshop Painter with extensive industry experience.
Job Summary:
The Vehicle Painter is responsible for applying paint finishes to vehicles following repair work, ensuring a high-quality finish that meets manufacturer and company standards. The role involves colour matching, paint mixing, spray application, and finishing processes to restore vehicles to their original appearance. The Vehicle Painter will work closely with preppers, panel technicians, and workshop staff to ensure efficient workflow and high levels of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare vehicles and panels for painting, ensuring surfaces are clean, smooth, and ready for paint application.
* Mix and match paint colours using manufacturer paint codes and computerised paint mixing systems.
* Apply primer, basecoat, and clearcoat using spray guns within a spray booth environment.
* Carry out paint blending techniques to ensure seamless repairs.
* Inspect finished paintwork to ensure a high-quality finish, free from defects such as runs, dust, or colour mismatch.
* Carry out flatting, polishing, and finishing work where required.
* Maintain spray guns, paint equipment, and work areas to ensure cleanliness and efficiency.
* Work to manufacturer repair methods and company quality standards.
* Follow health and safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE and spray booth equipment.
* Work efficiently to meet production targets and workshop deadlines.
Skills and Experience:
* Previous experience as a Vehicle Painter, Paint Sprayer, or Bodyshop Painter.
* Strong knowledge of automotive paint systems and application techniques.
* Experience with colour matching and paint mixing systems.
* Ability to achieve high-quality finishes with excellent attention to detail.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a busy Bodyshop environment.
