Job Summary
DGFT and SWBH are moving to a group structure and the postholder will be working to group associate directors where appropriate.
The Network and Telephony Lead is responsible for the strategic and operational management of the Trust's data network and telephony infrastructure. This role leads on the design, implementation, optimisation, and support of secure, resilient, and high-performing connectivity services that underpin clinical and business-critical systems.
Main Duties of the Job
You will provide senior leadership and specialist oversight of the Trust's enterprise network and telephony services. You lead the design, operation, security, and continual improvement of all connectivity services that support clinical and corporate systems across all sites. You will act as the Trust's senior technical authority for network and telephony architecture, service resilience, and cyber security controls. You will operate with a high level of autonomy and make decisions that affect operational continuity and patient-facing services. You lead specialist technical teams, manage supplier performance, and contribute to digital infrastructure strategy and planning.
The role includes acting as a point of escalation, participating in the digital on‑call rota, and deputising for senior digital operations leaders when required.

Person Specification
Experience (Essential)
* Must have an advanced ability to work and manage good relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including staff and suppliers
* Significant management experience within IT Networks
* Significant experience leading network and/or telephony teams
* Line management/supervisory experience particularly in a customer service environment.
Qualifications (Essential)
* Degree or equivalent experience in IT/Networks
