About the Role
Teaching Personnel is proud to partner with a vibrant and inclusive 11-16 mixed comprehensive school in Poole, graded 'Good' by Ofsted and recognized for its 'outstanding qualities'. As the school continues to evolve and strengthen its provision for students with special educational needs, it seeks dedicated Teaching Assistants to join from September 2025.
You will work closely with students who have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), providing tailored 1:1 or small group support within the classroom. Needs may include:
* Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
* Dyslexia or other specific learning difficulties
* Social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs
* Behavioral challenges
Your role involves helping students access the curriculum, follow the class teacher's guidance, and overcome barriers to learning in a supportive environment.
Candidate Requirements
No prior school-based experience is necessary, but we are looking for individuals who are:
* Passionate about supporting young people
* Patient, resilient, and empathetic
* Strong communicators with good literacy and numeracy skills
* Willing to work flexibly within a team
Experience in education, care, coaching, or working with children with SEN—whether professional or personal—is highly valued.
