Job Description:

KO2 is seeking a highly capable Electrical Engineering Manager to lead our team of Electrical and PLC Engineers, working on large-scale, high-power X-ray systems. The role is based full-time at the Stoke-on-Trent site and offers significant responsibility and the chance to shape innovative product solutions used worldwide.
This role involves overseeing the design of complex electrical systems and control panels, managing a team of 7 engineers (5 UK-based, 2 US-based) across the product lifecycle, from concept to continuous improvement.
Responsibilities include:
* Leading and managing the electrical and PLC engineering team.
* Driving delivery across NPI, R&D, and product enhancement.
* Overseeing work assigned by project managers.
* Reviewing and signing off complex electrical designs (EPlan-based).
* Providing technical leadership with support from Principal Engineers.
* Mentoring team members and supporting career development.
* Representing the electrical function in cross-functional reviews.
* Contributing to business strategy and continuous improvement.
* Occasional travel to the US (up to 4 times per year).
Qualifications and experience:
* Background in electrical/electronic engineering (BEng minimum, MSc preferred).
* Strong experience in electrical design, especially high-power and control circuits.
* Experience in control panel design and PLC systems support.
* Minimum 5 years of line management experience leading engineering teams.
* Ability to mentor and guide early-career engineers.
* Knowledge of CE, ANSI, UL, CSA directives and safety standards.
* Design-for-manufacture and production engineering experience is a plus.
