The Role
As a Cyber Security Analyst, you’ll work with a close-knit team to protect our organisation against a range of cyber threats. Your responsibilities include detecting, responding to, and mitigating risks from malware outbreaks, insider activity, denial-of-service attacks, and phishing. You’ll collaborate with technical teams to understand operational activities across various thematic areas, developing your skills in defensive strategies for operational infrastructure.
Your typical day might involve reviewing recent events, analyzing alerts, logs, network traffic, or endpoint data using tools like Splunk, and developing detection content. Beyond technical skills, effective teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities are essential. Collaboration is crucial in tackling complex threats and building effective solutions.
Training and Development
We are committed to your growth through formal and on-the-job training, external certifications (e.g., SANS, OFFSEC), and mentorship. You will gain hands-on experience in threat detection, incident response, and operational security strategies, supporting your professional development. Opportunities to attend conferences and stay current with cyber security innovations are also available, with travel being optional and infrequent.
