Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer ready to take ownership of electrical assembly and production within a growing UK manufacturer?
Our client – a respected conveyor systems specialist – is investing in its in-house production capability and is now looking for a Lead Electrical Engineer to strengthen and lead their electrical build function.
This is a great role for someone who enjoys improving processes, mentoring others, and being the go-to expert on electrical assembly for complex, bespoke machinery.

The Role – What You’ll Be Doing
As Lead Electrical Engineer, you will oversee all electrical production activities, including:
* Leading the electrical build of conveyor systems and automation equipment.
* Wiring, panel build, and electrical assembly to schematics and engineering drawings.
* Mentoring and developing a small electrical team / apprentices.
* Ensuring all builds meet safety standards and production quality requirements.
* Working with engineering and design teams to resolve issues and optimise build methods.
* Supporting testing, fault-finding, and commissioning when required.
* Driving continuous improvement in electrical production processes.
About You
You will be a great fit if you have:
* Strong electrical engineering background within machinery, automation, materials handling, or related manufacturing.
* Experience wiring control panels and machinery to industrial standards.
* Ability to read, interpret, and work from electrical drawings and schematics.
* Hands-on leadership or mentoring experience (formal or informal).
* Strong fault-finding skills and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
* Good communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
