CNC Recruitment are looking for a skilled and reliable Senior Electrical Engineer to join our client in Yeovil a well-respected aerospace engineering company.
Pay - £30,000 - £60,000 (DOE)
Woking hours: Monday to Thursday 8.00am 5.30pm and Friday 8.00am to 12.30pm
Job Type: Temp to Perm (Permanent after 16 weeks)

The Engineering team is responsible for:
Defining manufacturing processes and equipment requirements
Reviewing methods of manufacture, fabrication, and assembly of electrical and photonic systems
Supporting daily production activities to ensure smooth workflow
Delivering consistently high-quality products in compliance with EN9100:2016 (AS9100), legal requirements, and customer contractual obligations
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will:
Work closely with stakeholders to support the design and planning of electrical harness and sub-system manufacturing
Lead engineering activities across design, development, implementation, testing, and monitoring of electrical machinery, installations, and product offerings
Define methods of manufacture, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and production routes for new and existing products
Analyse existing electrical systems and implement cost-effective improvements to products and testing methods
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure new electrical products are fit for purpose, manufacturing-ready, and compliant with all required quality standards
Support the Sales team with technical input and solutions for new enquiries
Ensure work instructions, BOMs, routes, tools, drawings, risk assessments, and facilities are implemented on time and within cost targets
Keep projects aligned with their original scope and objectives
Provide concise, data-driven reports to the Engineering Team Leader
Mentor and support junior engineers
Skills & Requirements
Relevant electrical engineering qualifications with extensive practical experience
Ability to manage a high workload and prioritise effectively
Technical expertise within defined product areas
Desirable Experience
Experience producing engineering drawings or electrical models using recognised CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, Proteus, KiCad)
New product introduction and project management experience
Production and process control planning, including data collection
Experience working to aerospace and/or defence quality standards
Knowledge of optical or photonic systems, including fibre optics
