Job Description
The primary focus of this Procurement Manager role is to assist with the Purchase to Purchase relationship with major UK Blue chip clients and to implement and manage a new procurement strategy for the UK business.
Key Elements of the Role
* Develop and oversee 4 existing purchasing staff across this global business, growing exponentially in the coming 3-5 years.
* Manage all direct and indirect procurement for the business.
* Oversee a total UK spend of A GBP 150 million +.
* Review and implement new SLAs for the business and suppliers, and set KPIs for the staff.
* Assess how to get best value out of the current procurement relationships (100:150) and where needed, increase/rationalise supplier portfolio.
Requirements
Ideally you will be a qualified procurement specialist holding either CIPs / MCIPs or the equivalent and have some direct working experience in the automotive industry. You will be strong willed and driven, have a hands‑on approach and be prepared to listen and be circumspect, but also be happy to make hard decisions and shoulder the consequences.
