IHus is a leading specialist in high-quality timber-frame garden annexes, delivering sustainable, innovative, and beautifully designed buildings across the UK. We pride ourselves on exceptional customer service, efficient delivery, and the energy and enthusiasm of our team.
We are now seeking a driven, proactive, and highly organised Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of our annexe builds.
The Project Manager plays a central role in leading projects from pre-start through to final handover. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, brings genuine energy and enthusiasm, and is able to motivate site teams while maintaining excellent communication with clients. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard, acting as the main point of contact for customers and representing iHus with professionalism and positivity at all times.
You will act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle, providing clear and consistent updates while managing expectations professionally. The role involves representing iHus during site visits, progress meetings, and handovers, and building strong client relationships through a positive, engaging, and proactive approach.
Health, safety, and compliance are a core part of the role. You will be responsible for ensuring full compliance with CDM regulations and iHus health and safety standards, promoting a proactive safety culture on every site. This includes confirming the appropriate use of PPE, ensuring all personnel are competent and compliant, carrying out and reviewing risk assessments, and maintaining safe working practices at all times.
From an operational perspective, you will lead and motivate site teams, subcontractors, and site leads, ensuring work is delivered efficiently and to the required standard. You will review drawings, schedules, and specifications before work begins, plan resources to ensure tools, materials, and consumables are available, and monitor progress against the programme, escalating any risks or delays as required. You will ensure all works meet iHus quality standards and manufacturer specifications, oversee snagging and pre-handover inspections, manage final handover, and coordinate the removal or storage of surplus materials and site equipment.
You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate project information using company systems. This includes ensuring site photos, documents, and data are consistently captured and uploaded, communicating regularly with internal teams, participating in video calls, progress reviews, and reporting meetings, and supporting strong project governance through accurate and timely documentation.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong understanding of timber-frame or residential construction, excellent project management and organisational skills, and the ability to communicate confidently with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams. You should be able to lead with enthusiasm, positivity, and clarity, demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, and be confident using digital communication tools and project management systems. A solid understanding of health and safety requirements, PPE, and CDM compliance is essential.
A construction-related qualification, such as Level 4 Construction Management or equivalent practical experience, is required, along with experience managing timber-frame or modular construction projects. CDM training or certification is preferred, and a full UK driving licence is essential
