Responsibilities and duties of the Health and Safety Advisor role Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for:
Providing guidance to managers and supervisors on all aspects of health, safety, and employee welfare.
Making sure the organisation adheres to the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and all applicable regulations.
Carrying out health and safety audits and inspections, followed by the creation of detailed reports.
Looking into all accidents, incidents, potential hazards, and near-misses.
Creating and presenting Health & Safety training sessions for staff.
Overseeing and assisting managers to uphold a positive health and safety environment.
Communicating with external authorities including the HSE, Fire Brigade, and Police when necessary
Professional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following:
Ideally qualified with a NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health (or equivalent)
Membership of IOSH
