Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to become a member of the Welsh Ambulance Service Non-Emergency Patient Transport team delivering non-emergency patient transport at locations in the Aneurin Bevan health board area.
There are a number of vacancies in Chepstow/Monmouth Ambulance stations although you may be required to operate out of other stations as required.
Responsibilities
* Deliver non-emergency patient transport at locations in the Aneurin Bevan health board area.
* Drive an equipped NEPTS ambulance or other vehicle as necessary to carry out non-urgent and non-critical planned patient journeys.
* Work with a colleague but also be able to operate alone when dealing with patients who can walk unaided or with minimum assistance.
* Perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting and handling in difficult and complex scenarios.
Qualifications & Skills
Although no formal qualifications are specified, we expect candidates to be able to demonstrate a reasonable standard of education and personal responsibility, and provide evidence of delivering excellent customer care. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Shortlisted candidates will attend a theoretical and practical driving assessment and, if successful, will be invited to a formal interview and group discussion.
