This is a great opportunity to work across all of Samsung’s UK business and through consumer orientated business development and partner management leadership shape the future of partnerships through Samsung in the UK market.
The Samsung Services UK team is working across the division delivering Samsung Services to the UK market. The team interacts closely with the European Services team (UK/Chertsey) and the Headquarters (Korea) team to ensure success.
Role and Responsibilities
Strategy
1. Establishing and implementing a transformation roadmap for Samsung Wallet UK
2. Ongoing roadmap management and presentation to leadership team with regular reporting against strategic goals
3. Product & Proposition development and GTM
4. UK market validation, launch planning and execution of global HQ initiatives
5. Creating and launching UK originated new product propositions associated to Samsung Pay & Wallet that contribute to the agreed Key Performance Indicators
6. Influencing and gaining support from HQ and key partners for new propositions
7. Maintaining and improving the app User Experience, working with UI/UX teams
Business Development
8. Leading key strategic partner relationships encompassing Fintech's, participating traditional issuers to maintain and grow business
9. Engaging non-participating issuers at a leadership level to influence participation
10. Running and leading more complex deal negotiations from initial term sheet through to contract
Reporting, Management and Operations
11. Influencing key partners ensuring optimal custom service delivery and operations for Samsung Pay and Samsung Wallet
12. Proactive P&L management to optimise revenue and identify investment opportunities
13. With the reporting team, track Key Performance Indicators targets, ensuring you are on track at all times, putting in place mitigations if forecast does not meet target.
14. Putting in place detailed forecast for all key metrics including, MAU, Registered Users, revenue and churn.
What we need for this role
To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes:
15. Experience in Banking, Schemes or Payments and enjoys developing and delivering long term vision and strategy, effectively contributing to the vision in an environment that is fast paced, fluid and evolving.
16. Will be able to work closely with channels, customers, technical specialists, executive management and the industry to position Samsung’s Pay as market leading
17. Excellent relationship management skills An ability to establish and maintain long term relationships with customers, internal partners, and industry influencers in both technical and commercial fields
18. Detail orientated with a dynamic approach to workload and projects,
19. Plans ahead thoroughly and lays out clear achievements
20. Effectively prioritises across multiple organisations and projects

What does success look like?
25. Proven experience in global payments, banks or schemes focusing on business development, strategic partnerships, roadmap delivery and payment products.
26. Knowledge of digital payments, e-commerce, mobile wallets, and Card products (Debit, Credit, and Co-brand) are crucial
27. Knowledge of UK, European and international payment landscape and regulations
28. Experience in P&L management
29. Proven experience of successful business strategy development and execution
30. Strong track record in identifying, negotiating, and launching strategic partnerships with multinationals companies and start-ups to improve revenue performance
31. Strong communication skills with a high level of confidence, adept at cross functional influencing and external negotiations
32. Ability to inspire and persuasively communicate ideas, overcome obstacles, lead people and compel partners
33. Experience managing large complex projects
34. Strong troubleshooting capabilities and intensely goal-oriented
35. Detail oriented and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities or deliverables
36. Market analytical abilities
