Position at WebMD Responsibilities:WebMD/Medscape is looking for a qualified Marketing Director to join the Medscape Global (OUS) and US Education Teams focused on markets worldwide. The Marketing Director will focus on leading the B2B education marketing team to strategize and execute marketing projects in a variety of mediums. Acting as a player/coach, the Marketing Director will work closely with sales colleagues, manage high level initiatives, and act as a mentor for a team of marketers. The Marketing Director will stay current on industry marketing trends to educate and grow the capabilities of the team. Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage and mentor team of marketers based in the US and UK
2. Lead the development of Medscape Education strategic plan for both Global (OUS) and US focused initiatives
3. Strategize with sales leadership on marketing needs to support local, regional and global markets across different therapy areas
4. Work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders on marketing or design requests
5. Manage industry partnerships and Medscape Education presence at industry events
6. Identify ways to improve or enhance marketing team processes
7. Support strategic partnerships and government teams with marketing solutions
8. Develop core messaging, value proposition and thought leadership to support and grow the Medscape Education brand
Skills and Capabilities:
9. Knowledge of global pharmaceutical or medical education markets, experience in medical affairs a plus
10. Proactive, with a strong sense of self-direction
11. Ability to engage key internal stakeholders to achieve objectives
12. Excellent communicator – both written and verbal
13. Detail-oriented and deadline-focused
14. Strong project management skills
15. Resourceful with ability to quickly take projects from idea to execution
16. Strategic and creative thinker, inquisitive and willing to evaluate/change current processes if identified
17. Comfortable with presenting to internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications:
18. 4-year degree in marketing, business, or related
19. 10+ years marketing management experience with increasing levels of responsibility
20. Experience mentoring and/or managing marketers
21. Experience working closely with sales colleagues to develop marketing strategy
22. Experience managing team budgets
23. Ability to work cooperatively with staff, share ideas and develop effective responses.
24. Ability to manage multiple and competing work priorities, demands, and changes.
25. Healthcare education marketing experience preferred
