SRL works in partnership with our clients, across the UK and internationally, we identify the most cost-effective and practical ways to handle acoustics, noise, vibration and air quality issues, often on high-profile national projects. We are currently looking for Monitoring and Laboratory Apprentice to join our team.
What will the apprentice be doing?
* Travelling to the customers sites
* Working in the onsite Laboratory
* Installing and removing monitoring equipment from site.
* Preparing and calibrating monitoring and Laboratory equipment
* Completing proposals and reporting
* Project management
* Checking the data
* Servicing and repairing equipment
* Testing new systems and services
* Developing customer information
* Improving efficiency of monitoring office-based duties
* Telephoning customers
* Filing equipment and test records
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
* The learner will be studying the Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship standard qualification
* Day release to West Suffolk College
* Functional skills will be studied if equivalent qualifications are not held
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
* The opportunity to progress to a Lab Engineer, Senior Engineer, Manager/Team Leader

Things to consider
Involves driving to site, must be able to drive and hold valid license. Working within a team of experienced Engineers, the apprentice will learn both sides of the business for the Monitoring team and the onsite Laboratory. Full PPE will be provided for the role.
Both desk based and practical/site based activities.
Some practical experience would be useful but not essential.
