Randstad Student and Worker Support are looking for reliable and committed individuals to work with students in UNIVERSITY OF SHEFFIELD to provide specialist notetaking support for students living with disabilities.
Working as a manual notetaker you will be required to attend a variety of lectures and seminars and take accurate notes for students who struggle to make their own notes.

Responsibilities:
* Producing accurate and legible notes for lectures, seminars/tutorials and group tasks
* Work closely with Randstad regarding students, address any concerns immediately
* Maintain confidentiality of the student : do not disclose any information regarding students to anyone outside other than randstad
* Attend lectures at the university before the lecture begins so you are prepared and will not miss any part of the lecture
* Produce high quality notes which will be in the students preferred format
* Making notes based on the needs of the student and what has been discussed
* Review the notes after each lecture
* Provide notes to the student in a timely manner
* Maintaining a professional relationship with the student at all times
* Work within the policies and regulations of the university
Requirements:
* Have neat handwriting
* Able to produce notes in a legible and presentable manner
* Good typing skills : preferable
* Accurate spelling and grammar skills
* Punctuality and reliability
* You will need to be able to work quickly and under time restrictions
* Good organisational skills
Desirable:
* Degree (Desirable)/ have been enrolled/attended university/college
* Having knowledge of how a lecture takes place
* Typing skills
* Having experience working with individuals with learning difficulties
Successful applicants will be invited to take part in a telephone assessment followed by a typing test and also interviewed to discuss suitability for the role.
