A premium food manufacturing company has just been acquired by a major UK group and the Technical lead can offer a 12-month project to get the policies & Procedures, HACCP plan, and raw material data up to scratch. About half of the raw material information is already accounted for, so it's not starting from nothing, but you would need to enjoy investigative technical work; speaking to suppliers and getting the information for creating specs so that the company can supply bigger customers (and keep their current customers happy).
If you've hosted audits before, they would let you lead the SALSA audit next year as well.
A lot of the work can be done from home, so you would only need to be on-site three days per week (with Wednesday being one of those days)
Salary-wise they can consider all the way from Specifications Technologist level at £40K-£45K, all the way up to Technical or QA Manager level at £50K-£55K.
Although plans aren't finalised yet, at some point the site will need a permanent technical employee; no commitment from you to this future job is needed to be considered for the project.
