Reporting to the Environmental and Sustainability Manager, the Environmental and Sustainability Specialist (Senior Environmental Advisor) will play a key role in implementing Telent's Sustainability Strategy, supporting Business Units to meet waste reduction, carbon reduction objectives, customer expectations, ISO14001, and legal requirements across Rail and Asset Management divisions. This role involves up to 50% UK-wide travel.
Responsibilities:
* Provide expert guidance to EHS teams and project leads on environment and sustainability to ensure regulatory compliance and meet customer requirements.
* Support risk management by establishing environmental assurance and audit programs.
* Assist in preparing sustainability and carbon reduction plans for contracts and bids.
* Maintain performance data and generate carbon management reports.
* Conduct reviews of environmental aspects and impacts, including climate change risks.
* Support project teams to embed sustainable and carbon reduction practices throughout project lifecycles.
Candidate Profile:
