Senior Staff Nurse- Radiology
Location: The Lister Hospital, London (rotations to Chelsea Outpatients Centre, 272/280 Kings Road).
Contract: Permanent, Full time, 37.5 hrs/week.
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience.
Overview
We’re looking for a Senior Staff Nurse in Radiology to join The Lister Hospital, rated “Outstanding” by the CQC. As the Senior Staff Nurse within the Imaging department, you will report to the Imaging Sister and provide a customer focused high‑quality nursing service to patients and service users.
Responsibilities
* Provide a professional standard of excellence in nursing services for all patients.
* Competent in all areas of Imaging Nursing, including assisting with one‑stop breast clinics, imaging‑guided drainages & biopsies, Interventional Radiology cases and therapeutic procedures.
* Share clinical knowledge with multi‑disciplinary colleagues formally (through CPD sessions/clinical competency forms) and informally (ad hoc teaching/training opportunities).
* Participate in mandatory training on safeguarding vulnerable adults and children, ensuring compliance and escalation of any concerns.
* Assist booking clerks and radiographers in booking immediate appointments.
* Build an effective working relationship within the Department and the hospital overall.
Qualifications
* Hold a BSc (or equivalent) in Nursing and a current UK NMC registration meeting PREP requirement.
* Experience in Imaging and Interventional Radiology is essential.
* Demonstrate commitment to Imaging nursing through CPD/protocol development within a radiology area.
* Portfolio of relevant CPD.
* Postgraduate qualification in a relevant area desirable.
* Previous experience working with paediatrics an advantage.
