Mechanical Building Services Engineer
POSITION : Mechanical Building Services Engineer
LOCATION : East Yorkshire
HOURLY RATE : £18 - £18.50 PH (PAYE) Plus holiday pay
THE ROLE : This is a contract role for an experienced Mechanical Building Services Engineer to work for our Public Sector client. The initial contract period is 6 months, however, there is a high likelihood that this will run into a longer term, ongoing contract. This a Monday to Friday role working 37 hours per week.
The role is a mixture of time in the office and visiting various sites in the East Yorkshire region to provide expert advice on the Mechanical Building Services within a wide variety of buildings (non -housing) Often responding to issues with the Mechanical elements of the building. You will then be responsible for appointing a specialist Mechanical Contractor to fulfil the specified works as required and subsequently seeing the work through to completion to the clients satisfaction.
YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING :
* Previous experience of working as a Mechanical Building Services Engineer or similar role
* Extensive knowledge of water systems, heating, ventilation and air conditioning
* A proven background in delivering Mechanically biased projects on time and to budget
* The ability to manage multiple Building Services schemes including specifications, schedules of work, payments, commissioning and handover.
* A driving licence and vehicle
This role may suit an experienced Contracts Manager, Project Manager, Minor Works Manager or Site Manager with a Mechanical background who is looking to work more locally and would welcome the chance to work less hours in a less stressful environment. Or alternatively someone who has worked in the Public Sector as an Estates Officer / Estates Manager, Mechanical Engineer / Inspector or similar Mechanically biased role.
