Job Title: Lead Clinician
Location: Orchard Manor School – Norfolk, PE34 3HT
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 FTE (DOE)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Mon-Fri
Contract: Permanent (52 weeks, flexibility around term‑time contract can be discussed based on your personal circumstances)
Essential: Full valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
Role Overview

This is why we aim to have a multidisciplinary clinical team at each of our sites to provide this vital provision in collaboration with education teams. Creating an environment where pupils can flourish and grow in independence is key.
The Role
We are looking for a Lead Clinician to manage our in-house Clinical Team at Orchard Manor School. The postholder will work collaboratively with both the school’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and the Regional Clinical Lead. The role will be split between clinically leading the team and holding a therapy caseload. Working collaboratively with the team, the postholder will deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for students who may present with complex profiles of need as a result of autism and other types of neurodivergence, developmental trauma and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. Meeting the needs of EHCP plans will be a primary focus, target‑led, via the OFG ‘all’, ‘group’ and ‘individual’ clinical ways of working, embedded into our clinical practice. They will also be responsible for coordinating the line management of the members of the onsite clinical team and leading on the service development of the clinical school‑based service, alongside the school SLT and Regional Clinical Lead.
Responsibilities
* Clinically lead the in‑house clinical team.
* Maintain and deliver a therapy caseload.
* Deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans to students with complex profiles of need (autism, neurodivergence, developmental trauma, SEMH).
* Ensure EHCPs and other needs plans are met and progress is tracked.
* Coordinate line management of onsite clinical team members.
* Lead the service development of the clinical school‑based service in collaboration with SLT and Regional Clinical Lead.
* Work in a person‑centred, empowering approach, ensuring safeguarding culture and student involvement in decisions.
Qualifications & Experience
* Degree qualification in a relevant discipline.
* Experience in leadership and management.
* Registered Practitioner with HCPC or equivalent governing body.
* Valid and up‑to‑date professional registration and membership of a professional body (e.g., BPS).
* Experience working with autistic individuals and/or those with complex needs.
* Clear and concise report writing relating to clinical and research activities.
* Experience provision of supervision and support to a therapy team.
* Ability to work independently and dynamically within a growing clinical service.
* Experience of multi‑professional work with teams or services within the specialized field.
* Full UK valid driving licence and own vehicle.
