Job Overview
To protect our customer's property, people, and assets by providing security services in accordance with the site's published Assignment Instructions (AI's) and any updates.
Deliver results that meet or exceed the Key Performance Indicators / Service Level Agreement for the customer, ensuring full responsibility and accountability, and supporting contract retention.
Undertake ongoing training for continuous self-development.
Main Duties
* Manage the day-to-day security operations.
* Serve as the first point of contact for the Security team, overseeing standards of dress, discipline, and conduct.
* Assist in training security staff, including inductions on site procedures, CCTV, access control, deliveries, fire alarms, and intruder alarms.
* Promote teamwork and maintain high morale through effective motivation.
* Review performance and development of Security Officers.
* Conduct investigations related to security issues such as thefts or complaints.
* Coordinate with clients and customers as needed.
* Ensure adherence to Assignment Instructions by all security and shipping personnel.
* Communicate important messages during Security Handovers and ensure acknowledgment by all personnel.
* Keep security records and logs current.
* Ensure compliance with data protection legislation.
Qualifications and Skills
o Previous security experience.
o SIA License.
o Excellent literacy and communication skills in English.
o Computer literacy.
o Reliability, self-motivation, and initiative.
o Problem-solving, decision-making, and prioritization skills.
o Ability to motivate staff.
o Tact and diplomacy in dealing with people at all levels.
o Self-confidence and a commitment to self-development.
