Responsibilities:
12. The team completes a range of assessments, conducts section 487 enquiries and establishes whether longer term plans are required for families.
13. Involved in issuing court proceedings where needed..
14. The team is fast paced where no day is the same
15. Able to offer empathetic support to families who have just been referred to the service, families in these circumstances are often in crisis.
16. Supervise less experienced social workers and practitioners to achieve positive outcomes for children and families.
17. Lead on complex cases and chair key meetings such as case reviews and core group meetings.
18. Collect and analyse information and present your findings at strategic meetings.
19. Monitor and assess the quality of work carried out by social workers.
20. Carry out case reviews and provide feedback to improve social workers' skills and practice.
21. Model good practice for less experienced social workers and support their well-being.
22. Have a passion for achieving the best outcomes for children through direct work.
23. Have a creative and innovative approach.
Requirements:
24. Social Work Qualification or equivalent
25. 1+ years experience
26. Newly Qualified Social Workers currently working through their ASYE are welcome to apply
27. Social Work Wales registration or eligible to apply
