Quantity Surveyor
Location: Bristol (office-based with flexibility, covering sites within 1 hour of Bristol)
Salary: £60,000 (negotiable) + Bonus + Car/Allowance + Benefits
The Opportunity
A growing residential developer is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their Bristol team. This role offers the chance to take responsibility for the commercial management of housing projects across the South West, with all sites located within an hour of the office.
This is an excellent career step for an established Quantity Surveyor, but we are also open to applications from Assistant Quantity Surveyors ready to progress into a more autonomous role.

What You’ll Be Doing
Managing budgets, cost forecasts, valuations, and financial reporting
Leading subcontractor procurement, tendering, and contract administration
Advising on variations, project changes, and cost implications
Monitoring project progress to ensure financial targets are met
Preparing and agreeing final accounts
Providing commercial support to project managers, site teams, and directors
Supporting and mentoring junior surveyors as part of the wider commercial team
What We’re Looking For
HNC/HND or Degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent)
Experience as a Quantity Surveyor, or as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor seeking promotion
Knowledge of residential construction methods and regulations preferred
Strong financial acumen and cost management skills
Excellent negotiation and communication skills
RICS/CIOB membership (or working towards it) desirable
