KURY UK Ltd is part of an international company, Kury Groupe, 100% dedicated to the nuclear field with 23 years of experience in nuclear engineering.
Since then, we have been working with EDF (French Electricity Producer). We are involved in several nuclear projects, including FA3 EPR (France), the French fleet, Taishan EPR (China), Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C.

THE ROLE
As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the following activities:
System design and system integration
* Proposal of technical solutions to improve design maturity.
* Produce, review and update the system documentation, as well as formulate the electrical, nuclear safety, and control logic requirements in compliance with the engineering rules, methodologies, quality processes, and tools.
* Monitoring and resolution of design Open Points and design non-conformances in the Electrical discipline.
* Analysis and verification of input data, requirements, and lessons learnt from other stations.
* Sizing of components e.g. Transformers, switchboards, cables, protections, Power balance calculation, selectivity studies.
* Support the procurement team in formulation of technical specification and supplier surveillance.
Technical reports and other technical documentation
* Ensuring technical content provided in compliance with the quality process and engineering guidelines.
* Reporting to the Electrical Discipline Lead and raising alerts on any aspects of design.
* Being part of the relevant electrical team, participating to Team meetings, sharing and advising on technical topics.
* Solve technically challenging and multi-disciplinary issues.
Modification and configuration management
* Managing requests for modification to system(s) issued by various external parties by producing specifications and following engineering cycle (I&C and/or mechanical design changes specifications).
* Develop and present technical solutions suitable for all impacted disciplines that support design stability strategy.
System coordination
* Surveillance on execution designer deliverable related to site request.
* Surveillance of design documentation as specified in the List of Documents Required from the Contractor (LDRC) and Surveillance Plan ensuring that all the requirements from the specification are followed.
* Producing and updating component datasheets for handovers with detailed design.
* Management of interfaces between the Contractors equipment within the scope of supply and interfacing systems, contracts and buildings.
* Assessment and analysis of the impact of design changes.
During the first months, you can count on the KURY Team to assist you all along your projects.
This experience will give you the opportunity to move on to other projects in the medium term: you will tackle varied but complementary projects, studies and technical topics. Your understanding of the technical and environmental challenges will allow you to take on complex and critical transversal studies.
REQUIRED SKILLS
* Relevant experience in the nuclear industry.
* Experience of working on an EPR project, operating plant or on an industrial site.
* Previous experience in configuration management processes and tools.
* Ability to prioritise, to manage numerous interfaces and tasks, to question and understand the imperatives of other disciplines.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills: ability to communicate clearly, conscientiousness, organisation, writing ability, proactive in developing positive working relations with others within the project.
* Ability to effectively manage own and team’s workload in order to respect deadlines and KPI requirements.
* French-speaking would be an advantage.
