Goodwin Academy is seeking an experienced Family Liaison Officer to join our dedicated team in providing support to our students. The successful candidate will work alongside the Attendance Improvement Coordinator and Designated Safeguarding Team, focusing on preventative and early intervention activities to promote student wellbeing and reduce persistent and severe absence.
Our Family Liaison Officer will work with students across the Academy to ensure that their needs do not become a barrier to learning and progress. You will need to understand individual students’ needs and collaborate with subject teachers to develop learning programmes appropriate to those needs.
What you will need to succeed:
* Identify students and families of concern or those needing additional support through attendance and safeguarding data interpretation.
* Build positive relationships with families and students to enable effective collaboration with the school and statutory providers.
* Work with individuals and groups of students to improve attendance.
* Maintain accurate records and ensure all intervention documentation is properly recorded and filed.
The Family Liaison Officer will promote the voice of the child and prioritize their needs, aligning with the Trust and Academy ethos to help all students achieve their best.
What our Trust will offer you:
* Environment: A newly built school with modern facilities and state-of-the-art technology.
* Pension Scheme Membership: Membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme.
* Staff Wellbeing: Access to our 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme, free flu vaccinations, and eye care vouchers.
