Goodwin Academy is seeking an experienced Family Liaison Officer to join our dedicated team in providing support to our students. The successful candidate will work alongside the Attendance Improvement Coordinator and Designated Safeguarding Team, focusing on preventative and early intervention activities to promote student wellbeing and reduce persistent and severe absence.
Our Family Liaison Officer will work with students across the Academy to ensure that their needs do not become barriers to learning and progress. You will need to understand individual students' needs and collaborate with subject teachers to develop learning programmes appropriate to those needs.
What you will need to succeed:
* Identify students and families needing additional support through attendance and safeguarding data.
* Build positive relationships with families and students to enable effective collaboration with the school and statutory providers.
* Work with individuals and groups to improve attendance.
* Maintain accurate records of interventions.
The Family Liaison Officer will promote the voice of the child and prioritize their needs, aligning with the Trust and Academy ethos to help all students achieve their best.
