Apprenticeship Scheme:
Our apprenticeship program offers a great opportunity to develop skills in manufacturing. It combines on-the-job training with theoretical learning, with a dedicated tutor visiting fortnightly. Participants will develop professional skills and behaviors, committing to a development plan from the start.
CNC Apprenticeship - Job Description:
Learn to manufacture or assemble components on a production line, ensuring quality standards. The role leads to a qualification or company standard approval. You will work with safety and quality standards, contribute to daily production, and optimize efficiency.
Key Responsibilities (what you will learn):
* Setting up and operating Haas VMS, UMC750, Bridgeports, and CMS Ares 5-axis CNC machines
* Machining patterns, moulds, and components for carbon fibre parts
* Working with various materials including Tooling board, Aluminium, MCP, and Carbon fibre
* Using Haas, Heidenhain, and Fanuc controls effectively
* Interpreting setup sheets and drawings for precision machining
* Working as part of a team and communicating effectively
* Measuring parts to drawings and inspecting in line with standards
* Recording non-conformances and ensuring quality management compliance
* Maintaining measuring equipment and a tidy workspace
