Overview
MSK Outpatient Physiotherapist (Rotational) – full-time Band 5. The role involves a rotating schedule across Uxbridge Health Centre, Eastcote Health Centre and the Warren Medical Centre in Hayes (London Borough of Hillingdon). You will manage your own clinical caseload, assessing and rehabilitating patients through face-to-face and virtual consultations, and deliver classes in gym settings when allowable post-Covid restrictions.
Interviews for this post will be face to face. The successful candidate will join an enthusiastic, supportive team. Recent post graduate experience is essential; experience in musculoskeletal outpatients and working within a health service sector (acute or community) is preferred.
The Physiotherapy team collaborates with First Contact Practitioners (FCPs) in GP practices and Extended Scope Practitioners (ESPs) at The Hillingdon Hospital and Mount Vernon Hospital. Referrals come from GPs, FCPs and ESPs. The service works with the acute hospital trust on joint projects, including the development of the Hillingdon MSK website.
The service is committed to CPD and evidence-based practice, offering an extensive professional development programme. Weekly supervision with a supervisor, in-service training, study days and potential mentoring of students are available. Clinical supervision is provided by Band 6 and Band 7 staff with diverse experience, including pelvic health and vestibular problems. Some staff are pursuing Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) training; many Band 5 staff have progressed to Band 6 within our MSK service.
