Cygnets Pre School Nursery is a charity run preschool in Swanscombe. We pride ourselves on being inclusive to all and providing a great learning environment for all children aged 2-4 and having a recent Good Ofsted inspection.
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team working monday-friday 18.75 hours per week 12-3:45pm.. Term time only.
As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to young children aged 2-4 years old. This is an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and their families through the keyperson role.
Responsibilities:
* As a keyworker, you will be required to ensure that the individual needs are met of the children within your care and support parents and carers with any SEND/ASL needs.
-Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to stimulate learning and development and assist in the set up of the nursery floor and outside space.
-Create a safe and nurturing environment for children in the nursery, where we promote a fun and engaging learning space.
* Provide personal care for the children and assisting with hygiene routines helping towards independence.
* Observe and assess your key children's progress, documenting their achievements and areas for improvement and planning next steps for development in-line with the EYFS
* Communicate effectively with parents, providing regular updates on their child's development
* you will be working as part of a small and friendly team collaboratively to ensure a cohesive and supportive team environment.
Necessary Qualifications:
* Full and relevant level2/level3 early years qualification essential.
Requirements:
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English
* A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development
* Previous experience working in a childcare setting is preferred.
* Paediatric first aid certificate preferred or willingness to attain
-Successful candidate would be subject to Full DBS check and will need to provide current and up to date references.
