Responsibilities:
* Provide one-on-one/small group tutoring sessions to students in need of academic support
* Develop personalised lesson plans and teaching strategies based on the individual needs of each student
* Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to provide progress updates and discuss areas for improvement
* Create a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages student engagement and motivation
Requirements:
* Working on a self employed basis, working times will generally be outside of school hours ie, evenings and weekends.
* Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting or as a tutor
* Strong knowledge and understanding of the subjects being taught
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* Patience and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the unique learning styles of each student
* Bachelor's degree in education or a related field is preferred, but not required
Current needs are for Maths, English and Science. These subjects have the greatest demand, however we are looking to increase our tutor base in all subject areas.
